If you’re looking for a special cheese and sausages on a burger, you’ve come to the right place.
Al Jazeera’s specialty food team has identified a few specialty foods that are sure to satisfy the cravings of a burger lover.
These include sausagemeat, which is a meatless cheese made with ground pork and ground cumin, and chile cheese, which features spicy cumin paste.
The latter is especially popular among Mexican-Americans, who tend to be less familiar with the spices used in cumin-based cheeses, according to the website Cumin in the World.
The specialty meats, meanwhile, are typically beef or pork.
Canned beef is a popular choice for some people, but the team also recommends dried sausaged meat, sauerkraut and roasted corn.
The team recommends adding the cumin to a hot sauce and topping with a squeeze of lemon juice to make a “bacon” sauce, and it’s possible to add a small amount of onion, garlic and chili flakes to your recipe.
A few of the recipes in the specialties section of the website include a variety of ingredients, from the meat to the sauce.
