— The 2018 NHL All-Star Game will take place Sunday in Dothans, Ala., a city of 3,000 people, located in the heart of the Gulf Coast.
The game will be broadcast by NBCSN and streamed live online.
The All-Stars will be named the “Big Three,” with Detroit forward Pavel Datsyuk and Dallas star Tyler Seguin representing the East and the New York Rangers forward Ryan McDonagh representing the West.
The game will take on the same format as the previous five All-Tournament Games: a best-of-three format with teams seeded by points.
The teams will play seven games, each of which will be played at the same time on a neutral ice rink.
All-Star games are a key part of the NHL’s commitment to growing the game in the United States.
Last year, the NHL announced that it would hold at least one more All-American Game in 2019.
“We’re excited to host the 2018 All-star game,” said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
“The All Stars are the backbone of our game.
Their talent is unparalleled and the All-stars are the best of the best.”
In the first-ever All-America game, the Dallas Stars will take the ice in Dallas on Saturday, Dec. 18.
The team will play the Nashville Predators at 7 p.m.
ET on NBCSN.
The Dallas Stars are one of two finalists to play the 2017 All-Americas.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will play at the New Jersey Devils on Sunday, Dec, 19.
The Penguins have earned the top spot in the Metropolitan Division this season, and they are a favorite to make the playoffs this season.
The Devils will host the Pittsburgh Penguins in a best of three series on Monday, Dec., 20.
The New York Islanders will host in New York on Saturday night, Dec 20.
The Islanders will face the Chicago Blackhawks in a one-game series on Sunday.
The Isles are a second-place favorite to earn the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Montreal Canadiens will play in Montreal on Saturday in New Jersey, and the team will be joined by the Pittsburgh Panthers, who will play a one, two-game, one-round playoff series on Saturday.
The Panthers will be followed by the Washington Capitals, who play the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday in Washington.
The Columbus Blue Jackets will play their first-round series against the Toronto Marlies in the first round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo, N.Y. The Blue Jackets are a third-place and fourth-place playoff favorite to advance to the playoffs, and are hoping to land the first overall pick.
The Boston Bruins will play on Sunday at the Pittsburgh Senators in New Brunswick, N., where the team is one of the top seeds in the East.
The San Jose Sharks will play against the Arizona Coyotes in San Jose, Calif., in a three-game round robin series on Wednesday, Dec 25.
The Sharks are hoping for a repeat of last year’s tournament, when they earned a berth.
The Buffalo Sabres will play an exhibition game on Friday at the Arizona Diamondbacks in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The Edmonton Oilers will play Game 1 of a five-game road series in Calgary on Thursday, Dec 27.
The Oilers are a first-place seed in Western Conference, and hope to earn a spot in this year’s NHL Draft Lottery.
The Minnesota Wild will play games against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with Game 2 scheduled for Saturday in Edmonton.
The Calgary Flames will play Games 3 and 4 of a four-game home series in Edmonton on Monday night in Calgary.
The Colorado Avalanche will play two games against each of the four other finalists from last year in Denver on Saturday and Sunday.
The Toronto Maple Leaf will play its first-and-only game in Colorado on Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver.
The Leafs have a chance to earn an opening-round bye.
The Anaheim Ducks will play three games against Anaheim in Anaheim on Monday in Anaheim.
The Ducks have a shot at the second-round and are a potential No. 1 seed in either the Western Conference or NHL Entry, Draft Lotteries.
The Winnipeg Jets will play six games in Winnipeg on Sunday against the Chicago Wolves in Winnipeg.
The Jets are in a strong position in the standings, but they also are a top-seeded team in the Western conference.
The Washington Capitals will play four games in Washington on Monday against the St. Louis Blues in St. Paul.
The Capitals are one game behind the Los Angeles Kings for the final playoff spot in their conference, and have a very strong chance to win the Stanley Cup.
The Tampa Bay Lightning will play five games in Tampa Bay on Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo.
The Lightning have a good chance to finish in the top four in the Atlantic Division, and should have a
